Nima Hafezieh

Nima Hafezieh was born on December 13, 1994 in Iran. He began to study Persian traditional and western classical repertoire and clavier music when he was four years old. From an early age, Nima took private lessons in music theory, composition, and piano performance from great music instructors in Shiraz and Tehran. Nima was awarded a piano by former president of Iran, Mr. Khatami and introduced as a brilliant talented artist when he was 8 years old. When he was 15, he got into Tehran Music School to proceed his higher education in piano performance and composition. Nima studied piano with Dr. Tamara Dolitze and Maestro. Mohammad-Reza Laka; Music theory and composition with maestro. Hosain Pishkar, Dr. Mohammadtaghi Zarrabi, and Maestro Nima Gooran, who had a great potential influence on his understanding of music Aesthetics and composition Techniques.

He practiced composition and performance in Baroque, classic, romantic, and contemporary music. In addition to that, nima earned his 1st degree in piano performance in 2011, and he acquired his associate degree in fine arts in 2012. Upon the entrance exam of Art University of Tehran, Nima accomplished the highest score in live audition for composition and piano performance. Then, he received his BA in composition in winter of 2017. Nima finished his study in composition under tutelage of Dr. Mohammad-Reza Tafazzoli, Maestro David Jafari, and Maestro Karen Keyhani. Nima has performed in numerous concerts and recitals throughout Iran and recently, he has been collaborating with different ensembles in Classical, Flamenco, Jazz, and World music. Nima has been working as a music instructor and piano teacher since 2012.

Currently, he is working as a music transcriber and academic adviser in support of young musicians and students. As a well-educated musician, his expertise are specialized in Improvisation in a wide range of different styles, music dictation in polyphonic, micro-tonal, atonal language, and analysis of music aesthetic and relation of music architecture to the other dimensions of art and science. Currently, Nima is doing private piano and composition lessons. At the same time, he is having collaborations with artists, such as in live performances, studio recordings, sound design, arrangement and composition.
